weekly report: friday jan' 27 2006!

at the end of the semester I'm feeling more confidence about the learning of english. For instance, yesterday I read a complete article about "Hugo Boss" [by Javier Corrales for Foreign Policy]. He calls Chavez's style a new authoritarianism. I find it very close to the reality.

But not only I'm able to read more, but I feel encouraged to write easier. At least I I'm more confident to write free-texts and share it with the people, even publish on the weblog. It's easy, free and an excelent way of keep the comunication with my friends.

this been a great week to learn English. our teacher has encouraged us wisely in order to achive so important knowledge. For example, yesterday we had the pleasure to read an article about harry potter, the magician. It is related the fourth adaptation to movie made of this serie of novels.

this is an entry

oh, what amazing world is this blog's world! i couldn't imagine before how so many people could read what i had to say to all of them (let's keep the fact that i have something to say). but now, there is a new universe of increasingly good possibilities toward a direct comunication with my people (you, reading this, is/are my peolpe).

i guess there is a bigger dabate about the universe of the blogs, as in real life, there are blogs that say nothing to me and i really think they say nothing to anyone; but, at last, i prefer to avoid this discussion for now.

the English learning process, as i see it, has its core on the humanly nature of comunication necessity. knowing it and, more important, practicing it, guarantees an eficient and quick knowledge of so strange language.

mother courage and her children

when i went to see mother courage and her children¹ -a play by the great bertolt brecht- i forgot to take the prevision to anticipate my leaving. lateness as result.

speculation made a double fool of me when i thought about huge queues at long gazes -because of the hour, almost 1h after the begining-, but just a theater illiterate could imagine this. it took me a glance to be in. complete darkness, except for a little radiant light deep inside the theater, and, then, a loud voice, it was anna.

survival desperation, latin tunes, contradictory meta-messages, lonely waving flags, soft reggaeton and multiple characters were part of a bunch of signs that slapped in my face.

after all, all i can do is trying to reinterpretate reading the play, i hope so.
